The Forest Pedagogy Conference lead by the SDW is a nationwide conference on the professionalisation of forest pedagogues that has been held regularly since 2006. This year, we will carry out a Congress, which combines the established SDW Forest Pedagogy Conference and the 17th European Forest Pedagogics Congress (the annual congress of the FCN-Subgroup) in one event. It will take place under the motto "Learning to create together – How can forest-related ESD build partnerships and empower people?"
Focus of the Congress
The congress will focus on participation, empowerment and the strengthening of partnerships for the transformation of society towards more sustainability. It will provide an opportunity to pool and expand the expertise of the two groups of actors. At the same time, we want to boost the existing forest education network. By looking beyond our own horizons, we are increasingly looking at neighbouring countries and worldwide in order to gain new supporters for forest-based education for sustainable development.
